DAY 1
For the first day it started off simple. It was a day to explore the vex robots beginner controls with a controller, tech, and the parts of the robot. So when our journey started we chose partners to work with . We got to the caf, and wanted to learn how to even connect the controller to the robot. With the help of Zeshan he taught us how to connect the controller to the robot. Then the rest was history, after a couple of minutes I learn all the controls on the controller, including the claw, arm, open, close, forward, backwards. With these new skills we decided to bring out a fun game with the robots. Basketball. We now used our skills to put a ball into the hoop. Some imperfections came with it as well. This being the claw grip power as well as how far the arm could extend. The claw grip power was a problem we faced as when we tried to grip the ball on the floor, if the claw is not directly surrounding the ball, it will slip out. The next problem is the extension of the arm. This is a problem because if there was a bin underneath the hoop, you would have to push the bin with the body of the robot to actually put it in. Causing uncertainty on where the ball will land after it reaches success when the ball goes into the hoop. Another problem with the controller, was you couldn't change the velocity of the robot. This sucked as it sayed to one speed and can't control how fast it could go only with 1 device. Then our robot died.
Day 1.5
With 20 minutes left of class, we were going to be coding the vex vr robot with an iPad. Connected to the robot, the iPad used a application called VexCode. VexCode allowed block programming code to be used with the robot. Code like drivetrain allowed the bot to move forwards or backwards. and theres also different codes that opened and closed the claw. With this application we were assigned an assignment that made our robot make different shapes. In the end we explored the app and made a couple of shapes. One including a triangle.

Day 2For our 2nd day, we learned the basics. How to use measurement to convert to vex app. And new upand down, open and claw movements. And backwards.
|
Day 3For our third day we made our final. It went showed all movements and had a loop at the end. Witht help of harmans placing.
